The New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) will host the Milt Hinton Institute for Studio Bass, an exceptional summer music education program for teens, in residence at Montclair State University, in July 2024. 

The Milt Hinton Summer Camp is all about that bass! Join us for a summer experience dedicated to the famous bass player, Milt Hinton. Learn from top-notch instructors and immerse yourself in the world of bass playing.

There are collaborations from artists like Pino Palladino (The Who, John Mayer, Blake Mills), David Koz, and Inara George, and Russell Elevado (D'Angelo, Common, The Roots) who mixed the album. The first half of the album was produced by Ryan Lerman (Scary Pockets, Lizzy McAlpine), while the second half of the album by Chang and Adam Greenholtz.

Kean Stage has announced its 2023-2024 season line-up featuring a diverse mix of Broadway, classic rock, jazz, dance, holiday and family programming. Additional artists will be announced later this season.

Long-time musical director turned solo artist, Alan Chang, has released his latest single, “Natalie Explain”. The laid-back track features a swinging drumbeat, captivating piano track, haunting sax solo and mesmerizing lead vocals mixed over dulcet female vocal harmonies.

Swing pulses through New York-based jazz vocalist and pianist Champian Fulton's veins. Since her arrival on the scene in 2003, Fulton has been lauded for her poise and allure. A live Champian Fulton performance ensures a radiant ambiance pronounced by the multi-talent's clarion vocals and lush keys.

Now in its 39th year, the Schwabacher Recital Series, presented by San Francisco Opera Center and the Merola Opera Program, returns this spring with a series of four recitals (March 1, March 22, April 12 and May 18) at San Francisco's Dianne and Tad Taube Atrium Theater and San Francisco Conservatory of Music's Barbro Osher Recital Hall.

The Mercer County Community College (MCCC) Music Department will present free winter concerts featuring MCCC Faculty on December 13 and the MCCC Jazz Ensemble on December 14 at Kelsey Theatre located on the MCCC campus at 1200 Old Trenton Road in West Windsor.

BroadwayWorld was in the recording studio with Mars Rucker of A Strange Loop as they laid down their vocal track of the song “Misty”.  Originally written by Erroll Garner and Johnny Burker it has been given an updated version for the holiday season with a new arrangement by Ben Cohn who also was the Music Director. You Asked For It is Ainsworth’s fourth album of all-new material (a best-of LP entitled Top Shelf was expanded into a deluxe mini-LP CD released in Japan last year.) One of New York City's premier live music venues, Smoke Jazz Club, presents a stellar line-up of both legendary jazz performers and emerging voices during the month of October. Acclaimed for its essential music programming and inspired setting, Smoke Jazz Club recently reopened to much fanfare after being closed to indoor performances and dining for over two years.

Hiromi will be joined by PUBLIQuartet to form The Piano Quintet for one evening presented by BroadStage at The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage at the Santa Monica Performing Arts Center on Saturday, September 17 at 7:30pm.

Kaufman Music Center has announced its 2022/23 concert programs at Merkin Hall, along with the season's groundbreaking Artists-in-Residence who will be featured on stage, in the classroom, and in the community: visionary pianist and composer Aaron Diehl; the Grammy-winning Harlem Quartet; and the acclaimed British vocal ensemble VOCES8.

Blue Curtain regretfully announced that Eddie Palmieri’s appearance on Saturday, July 16 has been cancelled due to a family emergency.  

Blue Curtain, a beloved Princeton summer tradition, returns to the Pettoranello Gardens Amphitheater (Route 206 and Mountain Ave) with two FREE concert in July:  The Eddie Palmieri Salsa Orchestra on July 16 and the Ali Ryerson/Peter Levin Quintet on July 30.  Both concerts begin at 7:30 PM.
