Bloomingdale School of Music (BSM) continues its focus on faculty performances with pianist Judith Olson and guest artist Rolf Schulte on violin in a concert entitled, The Lyrical Brahms on today, April 27th at 7:00 pm. This free concert will be held at the school's home site located at 323 West 108th Street in Manhattan. Seating is limited.

Stephen Triffitt is the best known Sinatra performer in the UK. He first came to the public's attention when he appeared on Star in Their Eyes in May 2000. He won his heat, polling 400,000 votes - and a new career was born! Soon after Stephen flew to Atlantic?City to star as?Frank in a show called The?Main?Event. He returned to the States in June 2002, once again starring in The Main Event, this time for a three-month run, headlining at The Venetian on the Strip in Las Vegas, which was built on the site of the Sands Hotel.

Tapper/Singer/Director Maurice Hines and brother Gregory first performed with Ella Fitzgerald at The Flamingo in Vegas. He knew he was in the presence of greatness. Maurice called her 'the greatest singer I have ever heard'.

Back by popular demand following last season's 100th birthday tribute to Ella Fitzgerald, Gabrielle Stravelli sings the songs of Richard Rodgers in "It Might as Well Be Swing," at the Axelrod Performing Arts Center on Sunday, May 27 at 3pm. Stravelli will be joined by a 17-piece swing band, including acclaimed jazz pianist Dr. Art Topilow and clarinetist Carl Topilow, conductor of the Cleveland Pops Orchestra.

The Citadel Theatre's Artistic Director, Daryl Cloran, and Executive Director, Chantell Ghosh, announced today the Beyond The Stage (BTS) Series line-up for the 2018/19 Season. This year's series will include six outstanding presentations that push the boundaries of traditional theatre through experimentation; from shows that tell stories in song to a production in which the actor is handed the script for the first time when he or she steps on the stage. BTS even includes a project that takes place everywhere in the Citadel except the theatres. BTS 2018/19 features celebrated international artists, local celebrities, exciting new work and the return of Made In Italy (back by popular demand!).

With Garrett Phillips as Frank Sinatra, Nigel Casey as Dean Martin and David Hayes as Sammy Davis Jr, Nicola Emmanuelle joins the show as Ella Fitzgerald to celebrate the First Lady of Song and Queen of Jazz.

In the annals of jazz history, few events have been more influential than the Jazz at the Philharmonic concert series, and the album series of the same name. From 1944 to 1957, pioneering impresario, Verve Records founder, Norman Granz organized a series of prestigious all-star concerts that featured a who's-who of the genre's most popular and influential artists. These shows were instrumental in raising jazz's public profile, and were among the first high-profile performances to feature racially mixed bands performing for integrated audiences.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will once again grace the stage at New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) Mother's Day Weekend with performances from Friday, May 11 - Sunday, May 13. 'Movement that'll move you" (New York magazine) is guaranteed for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's 20th anniversary engagement at NJPAC - the culmination of the Company's 21-city North American tour.  Artistic Director Robert Battle leads Ailey's 32 extraordinary dancers as they continue the Company's legacy of using the African-American cultural experience and the American modern dance tradition to uplift, unite, and enlighten. Three diverse and exciting programs spotlighting premieres and new productions by influential choreographic voices will inspire audiences at Prudential Hall, all closing with a stirring finale of Alvin Ailey's always must-see American masterpiece, Revelations. The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present award-winning singer Natalie Douglas with another one of her very special "Tributes!" On Monday, April 9, she threw an onstage celebration of the music and magic of the one and only Elvis Presley. Songs included "Blue Suede Shoes," "Viva Las Vegas," and "If I Can Dream."

In celebration of what would have been Ella Fitzgerald's 101 on April 25th, a new show and book about the Legendary Ella Fitzgerald, with full support of the Fitzgerald estate and foundation, has been produced and written by Emmy(R) Award winner, Grammy(R) Award nominee and best selling author, Geoffrey Mark.

The Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts (The Soraya) continues its intimate "Jazz Club" performances with jazz trumpeter Amir ElSaffar and his Two Rivers Ensemble on Thursday, April 26 at 8:00pm. ElSaffar was born to an American mother and an Iraqi father. After studying classical music in the U.S. and Iraqi maqam music in Baghdad, he forged his own path by mixing ornaments and microtones from Arab music with melodies and harmonies from the West. His unique fusion has won him accolades from DownBeat magazine and rowdy ovations at the Newport Jazz Festival.

In Sisters of Swing, produced by Town Hall Arts Center, the lives of LaVerne, Maxene and Patty, are put on display as they sing their way through the years. The show follows the sisters from their early days on the road and rise in fame to their dissembling over irreconcilable differences. With a score chalk-full of hit songs such as, "Bei Mir Bist Du Schon," "Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree," and "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," some audiences members may get a sense of nostalgia that will leave them smiling.

Refusing to end their 2017/2018 season, Delaware Theatre Company reprises their hit production Maurice Hines is Tappin' Thru Life. Happy to be performing for Wilmington audiences again, tap dancing legend Maurice Hines will wow audiences for one weekend only, Friday, June 1 to Sunday, June 3, 2018.
