True to its original form, the zarzuela, 'Mula Sa Buwan,' whose original title 'Cyrano: Isang Sarswela,' fuses songs, dances, romance, and revolutionary overtones, which, in essence, is immensely faithful to its main inspiration, Edmond Rostand’s 1897 French play Cyrano de Bergerac, more specifically its 1955 Filipino adaptation by Soc Rodrigo--but this time set during the Japanese Occupation of the Philippines.

Markki Stroem stars as Christian, a cadet, in the restaging of an original Filipino musical, 'Mula Sa Buwan,' based on Edmond Rostand's timeless classic Cyrano de Bergerac. The musical runs onstage at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater at Circuit Makati beginning August 26 till September 11, 2022.

To end the summer “Back in Show Business” season, City Theatre Austin is honored to present the musical classic, The Fantasticks. It is a show years in the making and the company's first full-length musical production since their 2018 mega-hit sensation Tommy. The curtains rises September 2 – 18 at Trinity Street Playhouse located at the First Baptist Church of Austin.

3rd Act Theatre Company in Oklahoma City opens Season 4: REGENERATE. The first show in Season 4 is the Noire production of Cyrano De Bergerac, and stars Taylor Reich as Cyrano and Holly McNatt as Roxane. Season tickets are on sale now.

This magical show was suggested by a play, Les Romanesque, by Edmond Rostand. Originally slated for the 104th season, Vagabond Players is thrilled to welcome back and present this production post- pandemic.

Although the technical aspects of the production are fabulous, the crown jewels here are what goes on on the stage. The sword fighting is impressive. Even the scene changes provide their own hilarious entertainment - while baroque music plays, a group of dancing and clowning nuns move the scenery.
