FRIGID New York @ Horse Trade will present the 10th Annual FRIGID Festival at The Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery) andUNDER St. Marks (94 St. Marks Place between 1st Avenue and Avenue A), February 15-March 6. Founded in 2007, FRIGID New York is an open and uncensored theatre festival that gives artists an opportunity to let their ingenuity thrive in a venue that values freedom of expression and artistic determination. In true support of theatre on the fringe of the mainstream, 100% of box office proceeds will go directly to the artists. FRIGID is here to chill out the New York independent theatre scene's ideas of what a theatre festival can be!

Number five is ALIVE! Artists and audiences will explore the relationship between two of the world's oldest and most diversely practiced art forms at Puppets & Poets, a festival celebrating poetry, puppetry, and collaborative hybrid art.

Composer Gordon Getty's opera Usher House will receive its United States premiere as part of San Francisco Opera's double bill titled The Fall of the House of Usher in four performances, tonight, December 8 to 13, 2015. The Getty opera, a co-production with Welsh National Opera, will be paired with Robert Orledge's reconstruction of Debussy's uncompleted score, La Chute de la Maison Usher.

After a sold-out weekend in July 2015, at the CoHo Theatre Summerfest, performer Matthew Kerrigan returns to Shaking The Tree Theatre for a bawdy evening of storytelling, physical theatre and clowning, directed by Samantha Van Der Merwe. We are also excited to add a compelling tale, written by master storyteller Dario Fo, called TALE OF A TIGER, (Storia della Tigre) translated by Ed Emery.

First Folio Theatre (Mayslake Peabody Estate, 31st St. & Rt. 83) presents the Chicago premiere of the witty comedy JEEVES AT SEA, opening Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 8:00 p.m., and running through February 28, 2016 with previews January 27- 29. Directed by Jeff Award nominee Alison C. Vesely (First Folio's Winter's Tale and The Madness of Edgar Allan Poe), the stars of First Folio's productions of Jeeves in Bloom and Jeeves Takes a Bow, will reprise their roles in JEEVES AT SEA, with Jim McCance as "Jeeves" and Christian Gray (The Madness of Edgar Allan Poe and Winter's Tale at First Folio Theatre, The Glass Menagerie at Oak Park Festival Theatre) as "Bertie."

San Francisco Opera presents the U.S. premiere of The Fall of the House of Usher-an innovative double bill of Gordon Getty's Usher House and Claude Debussy's La Chute de la Maison Usher, both inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's chilling 1839 short story. Opening on December 8, the double bill provides two contrasting takes on one of the most transformed pieces of literature ever created. Director David Pountney's eerie production, designed by Niki Turner, provides an "aptly evocative setting for the Gothic horror writer's dark imaginings" (The Stage, UK) and features imaginative, otherworldly video projections filmed by video production designer David Haneke at Penrhyn Castle in North Wales. Conducted by Lawrence Foster, who led the 2014 world stage premiere at Welsh National Opera, this presentation marks the U.S. premiere of Gordon Getty's Usher House and the American professional premiere of Robert Orledge's "truly seamless" (The Guardian, UK) reconstruction of Debussy's unfinished score.

San Francisco Opera announces cast updates for The Fall of the House of Usher double bill which receives its United States premiere December 8–13, 2015. Tenor Jason Bridges makes his Company debut as Edgar Allan Poe in Gordon Getty's Usher House; Bridges created the role in the 2014 world stage premiere at Welsh National Opera conducted by Lawrence Foster.

On November 22 at 7 PM at Kings Place (90 York Way, London N1 9AG), OperaUpClose presents a public performance of extracts from the four finalists of the Flourish Opera Competition 2015. Now in its fourth year, Flourish aims to raise awareness of the wealth of contemporary opera being written today, and provide a platform for emerging and established composers and librettists.

En Garde Arts presents BOSSS, its new site-specific outdoor performance festival featuring new works by some of the New York City's most promising emerging theatre artists, this weekend, October 23-25 throughout Hudson River Park. The opening night party at The Frying Pan will now take place on October 23 at 7pm. (Tickets for the opening night party, on board the Frying Pan at Pier 66, are $250 or $75 for artists.)
