The Jewish Museum's 2015 slate of lectures, discussions, and events continues in July with a concert featuring violinist Todd Reynolds, part of the Museum's partnership with Bang on a Can; a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the exhibition, Repetition and Difference, with curators Susan L. Braunstein and Daniel S. Palmer; and Alexander Tochilovsky of Cooper Union discussing graphic design-related materials in the exhibition, Revolution of the Eye: Modern Art and the Birth of American Television. Monica Lewis, a former Benny Goodman vocalist who headlined the very first broadcast of the 'Ed Sullivan Show,' was THE VOICE of the popular Chiquita BANANA cartoons, clowned opposite Jerry Lewis, Red Skelton and Danny Kaye, turned down a marriage proposal from Ronald Reagan and went on to play co-starring roles in such films as 'Earthquake,' 'Airport 1975' and 'The Concorde--Airport '79,' died on June 12 of natural causes at her apartment in Woodland Hills, CA. Trustus Theatre is bringing the hit musical Dreamgirls to the Thigpen Main Stage this summer. Winner of over a dozen prestigious awards, this show tells the dramatic story of a singing group that makes it big while changing the face and sound of popular music in the 1960s.  Dreamgirls opens on the Thigpen Main Stage on Friday, June 26th at 8:00pm.
