Primary Stages has announced the schedule of new plays for its 24th season. The 2008-2009 season will have three New York premieres: Buffalo Gal by A.R. Gurney, A Body of Water by Lee Blessing, and Shipwrecked! An Entertainment - The Amazing Adventures of Louis de Rougemont (As Told By Himself) by Donald Margulies, and the world premiere of Chasing Manet by Tina Howe at Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters.

Every year, Bay Area audiences see guests engaged in conversation at Berkeley Repertory Theatre - and the tradition continues in 2008 with Page to Stage. Today, the Tony Award-winning theatre announced the speakers for this year's free events.

Shipwrecked! An Entertainment, The Amazing Adventures of Louis de Rougement (as told by himself), by Donald Margulies and directed by Bart DeLorenzo makes its world premiere at the South Coast Repertory Theatre. Opening is tonight, Thursday September 27 at 7:45PM with performances through October 14 at the Julianne Argyros Stage.

South Coast Repertory will present the world premiere of Shipwrecked! An Entertainment - The Amazing Adventures of Louis de Rougemont (As Told by Himself). Gregory Itzin portrays the title role in this adventure from Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies. Directed by Bart DeLorenzo, Shipwrecked! will run from September 23 through October 14 on the Julianne Argyros Stage. Low-priced previews are available September 23 to 27. Opening night is September 28.

Ensemble Studio Theatre has announced the appointment of William Carden as Producing Artistic Director, succeeding Founder Curt Dempster who died on January 19th.

The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation will present director Daniel Sullivan with the 2007 'Mr. Abbott' Award for Lifetime Achievement in the American Theatre on Monday, March 26 at a cocktail reception in the Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse at Lincoln Center Plaza.
