The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) is proud to announce the performer lineup for Women of Note, a one-night-only concert event celebrating the women writers who are changing the landscape of musical theatre. Women of Note will take place at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 W. 42nd St.) on Monday, July 20 at 8:00 pm. BroadwayWorld has just learned that Celia Keenan-Bolger, who was originally slated to participate, will no longer take part in the event. A show rep told us: "Due to the demands of being mom to a newborn, Celia Keenan-Bolger has had to withdraw from the upcoming Spelling Bee reunion concert.  The role of Olive Ostrovsky will be played by Jenni Barber, who took over the role on Broadway."

It's tonight! The 2015 Tony Awards will air on CBS tonight, June 7 at 8pm, co-hosted by Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming, and, as usual, BroadwayWorld.com will be your one-stop shop for all things Tonys on Tony Day, Night and Beyond! Second Stage Theatre welcomes film star Amanda Seyfried (Les Miserables, Dear John, Mamma Mia!, upcoming Ted 2 and Pan) in her off-Broadway debut opposite Thomas Sadoski (The Newsroom, Wild, upcoming in NBC's The Slap) in the world premiere production of NEIL LaBUTE's drama, The Way We Get By. Directed by Tony nominee LEIGH SILVERMAN, the production began previews on April 28, 2015 and officially opened last night, May 19, 2015 at Second Stage Theatre, 305 West 43rd Street. Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director, Casey Reitz Executive Director) has announced complete casting for its upcoming world premiere production of WHORL INSIDE A LOOP, a new play by Dick Scanlan and Sherie Rene Scott, co-directed by Michael Mayer and Mr. Scanlan, the creative team behind the Tony-nominated, critically acclaimed hit, Everyday Rapture, which had its world premiere at Second Stage Theatre in 2009.

Merged Work Productions (lead producers) and Jack Thomas (Executive Producer) announced today that Piece of My Heart: The Bert Berns Story, the crowd-pleasing musical based on the life and songs of legendary songwriter Bert Berns that played Off-Broadway last summer, is headed for Broadway.

BETWEEN RIVERSIDE AND CRAZY opened at the Tony Kiser Theatre yesterday, February 11, and runs through March 8. BroadwayWorld was there for the opening night- check below for photos!
