-- Jim Parsons (via BrainyQuote)

Among his other Broadway helming credits are War Horse (which won the Tony for Best Play in 2011), Jumpers, Sweet Smell of Success, Twelfth Night, and Miss Saigon. He also produced Fela! Hytner helmed countless productions for the National during his tenure; in addition, among his West End credits -- aside from his many Broadway transfers -- are Measure for Measure, King Lear and The Importance of Being Earnest. Hytner has also worked extensively in opera, and his film The Madness of King George won BAFTA and Evening Standard awards. He is currently directing the movie adaptation of Alan Bennett's The Lady in the Van, which he originally helmed at the Queen's Theatre in 1999.
