According to Deadline, Tony nominee Taylor Louderman is set to star as the female lead on the forthcoming CBS pilot titled EMPEROR OF MALIBU. She joins the previously announced Ken Jeong and Max Willems. The series comes from Kevin Kwan and Warner Bros. TV. Kwan is known for his work as author of the 2018 blockbuster CRAZY RICH ASIANS.

Happy Panda Productions has released the music video for Abracadeborah's satirical hip hop holiday song “F**k Christmas.”  Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Harris Doran (Beauty Mark) and written by and starring Broadway, tv vet and viral video sensation Deborah S. Craig (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Blacklist, Yoga for Black People ) the video was shot in Brooklyn, NY 

The Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) in New York was abuzz last Thursday when critical darling Ed Lin celebrated the release of his latest mystery, 99 Ways to Die (Soho Crime), featuring an evening of Taiwanese street snacks, a book signing, music and a raffle.

The person seated in the back of the orchestra section on opening night of the Encores! Off-Center concert mounting of GONE MISSING, who was loudly sobbing during the closing song, was by no means causing a disturbance. In fact, the choked-up moans of heartbreak being emitted throughout New York City Center's auditorium many times during the performance were simply bringing to the surface the sadness that served as the evening's subtext, even for those who did not know the clever and touching revue's late composer/lyricist personally.
