A little bit burlesque, a little bit farce and a whole lot funny, Mark Twain's Is He Dead? will be performed by Deep Dish Theater Company October 22 to November 13.

The Dramatists Guild of America is pleased to announce the recipients of their annual awards, which will be distributed at an awards ceremony Monday, November 1, 2010, at the Hudson Theater in New York.

Five of Chicago's most twisted and original writers join five of New York's most talented actors for two nights of Halloween tales. From getting freaked out to getting their freak on these storytellers tell twisted tales to get you in the Hallows' Eve mood. On Halloween night, a young hipster gets freaky with a hot DJ and wonders what happens when the costumes come off; a homeless man jams to '80s rock with a broomstick; a backpacker finds herself surrounded by freaks in the Red Light District of Amsterdam; and a bike racer dons her superhero cape and rides for her life.

Featuring a cast of 16 including Mad Horse Ensemble members and an array of guest artists, SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION is a dazzling, full-hearted work of theatre.

Secret Order, a stimulating biomedical thriller, delves into the moral and ethical dilemmas involved in the high-stakes world of science. Playwright Robert Clyman (Tranced) invents a brilliant behind-the scenes exploration of the business of science. Clyman pits cancer researchers against each other as they race to be the first to trial, first to publish and first to find a cure. Directed by Chris Smith (A Christmas Story), Secret Order runs October 14 - November 7, 2010 at San Jose Repertory Theatre, 101 Paseo de San Antonio in downtown San Jose. Press Opening Night is Wednesday, October 20 at 8:00 p.m.

In 'New Worlds: A Celebration of I.L.
