Five of Chicago's most twisted and original writers join five of New York's most talented actors for two nights of Halloween tales. From getting freaked out to getting their freak on these storytellers tell twisted tales to get you in the Hallows' Eve mood. On Halloween night, a young hipster gets freaky with a hot DJ and wonders what happens when the costumes come off; a homeless man jams to '80s rock with a broomstick; a backpacker finds herself surrounded by freaks in the Red Light District of Amsterdam; and a bike racer dons her superhero cape and rides for her life. These stories are accompanied by a live musical soundscape and are paired with a boozy drink, one that best embodies the theme of each story.

The production, presented by Bohemian Archaeology Productions will play a limited two-night engagement at Daryl Roth Theatre's D-Lounge (101 East 15th Street) October 28 & 29 at 10pm. Tickets ($18, $15 students/seniors) are available by calling Smarttix at 212-868-4444 or online at www.smarttix.com. A specialty menu of BOOzy drinks chosen expressly for this event will also be available for purchase.

BOHEMIAN ARCHAEOLOGY PRODUCTIONS is committed to creating effervescent theater by digging into new and established work. Their theater process is like an archaeological dig. They start with a script (the bare bones, so to speak) and extrapolate meaning to create a social, human environment for the script to thrive. By working directly with playwrights and involving them in the rehearsal process, they strive to breathe new life into their work.

Their first production, Beyond Therapy by Christopher Durang, catapulted their company into existence with a wacky, off-the-wall production that played to sold-out houses in May 2006 at the Abingdon Theatre. The critics raved about their next production, Time Flies and Others by Ives by David Ives. Ticket sales exploded when The New York Times posted a rave review. The cabaret setting at the Laurie Beechman Theatre created a cozy, delicious venue for 6 of David Ives' funniest short plays. In 2007, they produced Wendy MacLeod's SIN, a dark comedy about the perils of human nature at the Abingdon Theater, that thrilled New York audiences. In December 2008, they set sail as City Winery's maiden-voyage event with Holidays Uncorked: An Evening of Original (and twisted) Holiday Stories. The audience enjoyed a special tasting of 5 wines, one for each story, from City Winery's vineyards. In the summer of 2010, they developed a new play with Boston playwright Mark Colb called Second Intention that culminated in a staged reading at Roy Arias's Payan Theatre in August.

"A spirited production by the director Jordana Kritzer...the winning performers throw themselves into their roles, balancing Mr. Ives's gentle absurdist tone with his Borsht Belt sensibility."
Jason Zinoman, The New York Times (Time Flies and Others by Ives)

"Bohemian Archeology's production doesn't fail to deliver... I laughed and laughed at the entire evening." Duncan Pflaster, Broadway World (Time Flies and Others by Ives)

"Bohemian Archeology knows that sin is always in. With its Off-Off Broadway revival of Sin, Wendy MacLeod's 1994 comically cautionary tale, this young company proves that even when sin isn't original, it can still be fun." Paul Menard, Backstage

"In Sin's revival, directed by Jordana Kritzer, Bohemian Archaeology has captured the genius of MacLeod's concept, enthralling theatergoers to the point of voluntary game show-style trivia."
Nicholas Luckenbaugh, Show Business Weekly
