On the back of another sold out London run, Letters Live is bringing its star-studded show to the Royal Albert Hall on 3 October 2019, in what will be its most ambitious night to date. The date will also see the launch of a new series of themed Letters of Note books, compiled by co-producer Shaun Usher.

“You're pretty good for a girl,' sighs veteran Rhode Island-based electronic rock artist JENN VIX about one of the many comments that plagues her as a female artist.  “I have been asked questions such as 'Who writes your music for you?' and 'Oh, so you're a singer, right?'” Her plight as a woman in rock is nothing new, especially considering that not only is she a successful electronic-rock recording artist but has also been a songwriter, a producer and a recording engineer. With her new EP 6 however, Vix is wearing all hats at once and showing that, yes, she can do it.. and yes, she is a girl.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts welcomes the Center debut performance of the Grammy®-winning quartet Third Coast Percussion on April 5, 2019 at 8:00pm in a program that will feature the West Coast Premiere of a new work composed by Philip Glass. According to Brooklyn-based art blog Hyperallergic, opaque couché wins “the title of 'World's Ugliest Color'… So why did MEAT BEAT MANIFESTO (MBM) name its fantastic new album Opaque Couché?  “I wanted to do a title based around a particular color, so I wanted to give opaque couché a chance since it's not black or white,” explains MBM mastermind Jack Dangers.

Today The National announced I Am Easy To Find due out May 17th on 4AD along with opening track “You Had Your Soul With You” featuring the vocals of longtime David Bowie collaborator Gail Ann Dorsey. I Am Easy To Find is the band's eighth studio album and the follow-up to 2017's GRAMMY®-award winning releaseSleep Well Beast. A companion short film with the same name will also be released with music by The National and inspired by the album. The film was directed by Academy Award-nominated director Mike Mills (20th Century Women, Beginners), and starring Academy Award Winner Alicia Vikander. Mills, along with the band, is credited as co-producer of the album, which was mostly recorded at Long Pond, Hudson Valley, NY with additional sessions in Paris, Berlin, Cincinnati, Austin, Dublin, Brooklyn and more far flung locations. Artistic Director Mark Yonally and Chicago Tap Theatre (CTT) presents Sweet Tap Chicago Sunday, March 10 at 3 and 7 p.m. at The City Winery, 1200 W.
