A new talent is discovered in an unexpected place. Meanwhile, Derek copes with a damaging accusation. The second season begins with 'Bombshell' running into financial trouble that threatens the production. Meanwhile, Karen is mentored by a Broadway star and discovers a new artist in an unexpected place; and Julia faces a personal crisis with her husband.

TRUE BLOOD's Aisha Hinds is set to head UNDER THE DOME. Best known for her role as the psychic Miss Jeannette on the HBO hit series, the actress officially signed on for CBS' adaptation of Stephen King's hit mega-novel, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

NBC has released a sneak peek of the opening montage for SMASH Season 2, premiering Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 9/8c. In the number, Katharine McPhee's 'Karen' performs the song "Cut, Print, Moving On," from the show's fictional musical 'Bombshell'.

Tony nominated actress Montego Glover has been tapped to play the recurring role of ‘Marissa' in Season two of NBC's SMASH, currently filming in New York. Marissa is described as the compassionate, authoritative stage manager. Glover won a Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle award for Best Actress in a Musical for the Tony Award Winning MEMPHIS on Broadway and has been previously seen on The Good Wife, White Collar and Made In Jersey. She is repped by DGRW and Liebman Entertainment.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Colin Ford, star of Disney's JAKE AND THE NEVER LAND PIRATES, has been cast in the upcoming CBS summer series UNDER THE DOME. The actor will portray teenager Joe who resides in Chester's Mill, the series small New England town that is 'suddenly and mysteriously sealed off by an enormous transparent dome.'
