THE NIGHT CIRCUS absolutely blew me away when I first read it, and it still does now upon a fresh reading. It's gorgeous and Morgenstern has breathed so much life and vitality into her world that I felt something missing after I turned the last page. I wanted more. I wanted Le Cirque des Rêves to be real.

Damian Woetzel continues his innovative interdisciplinary series uniting artists from across fields in a special one-night only performance, March 7 in the Terrace Theater. Kansas City Repertory Theatre's Artistic Director, Eric Rosen, today announced the cast for SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET which closes the 2017/2018 mainstage season at KCRep. Comedian, actor, director and producer Martin Lawrence will return to the stage as the host of 2018's hottest comedy event: the "LIT AF Tour" at the Mandalay Bay Events Center Saturday, April 7 at 7:30 p.m. Coming off the 20th anniversary of Def Comedy Jam, where he is known as the legendary host, Lawrence has made a triumphant return to the stand-up stage wowing audiences with his signature style of hilarious stories, social commentary and more. The "LIT AF Tour" stars Lawrence as the high-powered host who will present a lineup of comedians including Deon Cole, Rickey Smiley, Bruce Bruce and Benji Brown.

Carole Shorenstein Hays announced today that single tickets are now available for Head Over Heels, the new musical comedy featuring the iconic songs of The Go-Go's-the most successful female rock band of all time. Directed by Tony Award winner Michael Mayer (Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Spring Awakening), Head Over Heels will perform at the Curran (445 Geary St., San Francisco) April 10-May 6, 2018 ahead of its Broadway premiere (opening July 26 at Hudson Theatre).

Goodman Theatre announces Jo Cattell as the recipient of the 2017/2018 Michael Maggio Directing Fellowship, an honor reserved for early-career Chicago-based directors. Cattell will gain complete access to the artistic process at the Goodman, including the opportunity to assist on a Goodman production-from early research and design through the casting and rehearsal process to the opening. The annual fellowship was established in 2002 to honor the memory and artistry of Goodman Associate Artistic Director Michael Maggio (1951 - 2000) who directed a total of 22 productions at the Goodman and more than 60 productions around the country.
