'Single Voice', a tribute to New York Songwriter Christine Lavin will take place on Saturday, November 22nd @ 8pm at The Laurie Beechman Theatre.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is pleased to announce plans for SAY Something: A Spoken Word Salon. The event will feature spoken word performances from writers and actors, presenting their own work as well as excerpts from some of their favorite texts. SAY Something will take place on Friday, August 15 @ 6pm at The Laurie Beechman Theatre, located at 407 West 42nd St., (@ 9th Ave), in the heart of New York's theatre district.

On Monday, April 14, Jim Caruso's Cast Party was packed with Broadway newcomers and and a few legendary performers. Seen and heard were Barrett Foa, Billy Porter, Michael Winther, Lisa Howard, Natalie Joy Johnson, lyricist Amanda Green, Viola Hagi, Christine Lavin, Randy Jones, Jessica Vosk, Marilyn Maye, the Altar Boyz and the cast and creators of the upcoming Broadway musical, Glory Days.

The songwriting & performing team of Marcy Heisler (bookwriter/lyricist) and Zina Goldrich (composer) were presented in The Marcy & Zina Show, Monday, March 10, 2008 at 7PM, as part of the long-running, critically-heralded and popular concert series Broadway at Birdland.

Composer, arranger, vocalist and jazz pianist Billy Stritch celebrated the release of his acclaimed new record, 'Billy Stritch Sings Mel Tormé' on Monday, February 18, 2008 at 7PM at Birdland, as part of the long-running, critically-heralded and popular concert series Broadway at Birdland.

Jim Caruso hosted his guests and friends at The Cast Party on Monday, February 11 at Birdland. In attendance were cast members of off-Broadway hits Celia and Altar Boyz, plus Hilary Kole, Katherine Luckinbill, Erich Bergen, Billy Stritch, Natalie Douglas Tony DeSare, Lari White and more.

Laurence O'Keefe, the co-composer of the hit Broadway musical, Legally Blonde, returned to 'Broadway at Birdland' on Monday, September 24 at 7PM. The gifted songwriter was joined by a host of Broadway talent including: Farah Alvin, Annaleigh Ashford, Becca Ayers, Miguel Cervantes, Gaelen Gilliland, Kevin Pariseau, Mo Rocca and Kate Wetherhead.

Popular Broadway actress, Stephanie J. Block, headlined at the legendary Birdland on Monday, August 27.

On Monday, June 18th, the release of High Fidelity's cast recording, now available from Ghostlight Records, was celebrated at Birdland.

Actor/singer/songwriter Jeff Daniels returned to 'Broadway at Birdland' on Monday, May 14 at 7pm.
