The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) kicks off the holiday season with Rochester's longest-running holiday tradition, The Nutcracker, in conjunction with Rochester City Ballet (RCB) for six performances: Wednesday, November 23 at 7 PM; Friday, November 25 at 2 & 7 PM; Saturday, November 26 at 2 & 7 PM; and Sunday, November 27 at 2 PM in Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre.

The McAninch Arts Center (MAC), located at 425 Fawell Blvd., has announced the addition of performances by Chris Botti, David Sedaris and Lewis Black to the 2022-2023 Season.

Chris Botti announces the debut of Chris Botti at Sea, a luxury cruise personally curated by the incomparable musician. Scheduled to sail from February 8 – 15, 2024 from Miami to Aruba and Curacao on Celebrity Cruises' Summit, the voyage will bring the very best in music, accommodations, and destinations together. 

In support of her new album, Jackie Evancho: Carousel of Time, honoring the timeless music of Joni Mitchell, Jackie Evancho will perform a select number of shows dedicated to the  music from the album. 

The Midwest Trust Center (formerly Carlsen Center), invites audiences to purchase tickets for series shows, featuring acclaimed artists in dance, classical music, jazz and hip hop.  Performances will take place at the Midwest Trust Center on the campus of Johnson County Community College, 12345 College Blvd., Overland Park, KS 66210).  High-res photos with IDs can be found here.

Erika Henningsen will lead the world premiere of new musical Joy the Musical at George Street Playhouse, directed by Casey Hushion (Broadway: Aladdin, The Prom), with choreography by Emmy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Joshua Bergasse. 

Recorded live at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Texas, Botti and the DSO, conducted by Albert-George Schram, are joined by vocalists Veronica Swift and Sy Smith, violinist Caroline Campbell, guitarist Leo Amuedo and saxophonist Chad Lefkowitz-Brown.

Pat Petrillo has long been recognized as one of the most versatile and prolific drummers on the scene. He has worked with a wide array of artists from diverse genres, including Patti LaBelle, Gloria Gaynor, Chieli Minucci, and Ed Hamilton as well as numerous Broadway shows, from A Chorus Line, to Newsies, to the national tour of Dreamgirls.

Johnson County Community College’s Midwest Trust Center will present Chris Botti August 24, 2022, 7:30 p.m. Grammy Award-winning master trumpeter and composer Chris Botti has amassed a spectacular variety of honors, including multiple Gold and Platinum albums, to become the largest selling instrumental artist in the United States.

Symphonic Rocks features pop hits from the 80s and 90s, plus standards from rock musicals. Symphonic Rocks takes place on Saturday, August 20 at 7:30pm at Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall at FSW.

Evancho has been working on a musical panegyric of Joni Mitchell for some time. Closures from the pandemic led to the album's delay. Jackie Evancho - Carousel of Time, will be released late summer of this year, with at least 2 more singles slated for release on digital streaming platforms ahead of the full-length album.
