NEW CENTURY is playing at National Theatre in Prague on January 20th, 29th, February 5th, 11th, March 4th, April 18th, May 15th, and June 4th 2019.

From ghosts to regicide plots, WWII bombs to the birth of musical theatre, the hallowed halls of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Theatre Royal Drury Lane have almost seen it all. Now over 1000 of the theatre's iconic auditorium seats will find new homes in three regional volunteer-run venues as part of its £45 million revival.

This play, which is described by the theatre as "the reflections of a memory" tells the story of Russia in the last century, beginning with Imperial Russia, moving to the USSR and ending as the Russian Federation - all in 100 years. The Ball was directed by a choreographer Alla Sigalova with the cooperation of a media manager Konstantin Ernst. It premiered last month, on 5th of December.

Drury Lane Theatre announces casting for its production of the international megahit Mamma Mia!, with music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Bj rn Ulvaeus, some songs with Stig Anderson, and book by Catherine Johnson. Originally conceived by Judy Craymer, Mamma Mia! is directed by Artistic Director William Osetek and choreographed by Jane Lanier with music direction by Roberta Duchak. Mamma Mia! runs February 7 April 14, 2019, at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace. The press opening is scheduled for Thursday, February 21 at 8:00 p.m.

Imagine combing through 500 diverse submissions of new works to choose selections to perform during the third annual 21ST CENTURY VOICES: NEW PLAY FESTIVAL at American Stage. Producing Artistic Director Stephanie Gularte and a committee of 40 members read and evaluated each new play and selected five outstanding plays for staged readings on January 3-6, 2019.

Steve Tompkins, director of Haworth Tompkins, the architecture studio responsible for projects including many of UK theatre's most high-profile building projects, including the National Theatre, Bridge Theatre, Battersea Arts Centre, Liverpool Everyman and Bristol Old Vic, has been named number one in The Stage 100 in association with Spektrix, the definitive list of the 100 most influential figures working in theatre and the performing arts industry in the UK today.

Theatre Puget Sound (TPS) and the Gregory Awards proudly announce today that Ruth Eitemiller will be recognized for her contributions to the Seattle theatre community.

Atlanta's Synchronicity Theatre opens its 21st Season with Jessica Swale's NELL GWYNN, a comedy based on the true story of an orange vendor who becomes one of the most celebrated actresses in 17th Century London - and King Charles II's mistress. The play follows Nell from rags to riches, as she transforms from a bawdy orange seller on the street to a revered actress, who was ahead of her time during an era where it was a novelty to see women grace the stage. Accompanied by friends, theatre colleagues, and her lover the King, Nell finds herself ascending to high society while trying to forget her meager background. The cast includes Courtney Moors as Nell, Eugene H. Russell as Charles Hart, Robert Shaw-Smith as King Charles accompanied by a talented ensemble.

Now a singular presence in the ballet world, the Dance Theatre of Harlem company tours nationally and internationally, presenting a powerful vision for ballet in the 21st century. The 16-member, multi-ethnic company performs a forward-thinking repertoire that includes treasured classics, neoclassical works by George Balanchine and resident choreographer Robert Garland, and innovative contemporary works that use the language of ballet to celebrate African-American culture. Through performances, community engagement, and arts education, the company carries forward Dance Theatre of Harlem's message of empowerment through the arts for all.

Winner of 19 major accolades, including multiple Tony, Olivier and Drama Desk Awards, Stephen Daldry's (Billy Elliot, The Crown) multi award-winning production of J.B. Priestley's classic thriller An Inspector Calls will kick off a four-city U.S. tour at Shakespeare Theatre Company from November 20 through December 23, 2018.

Gloucester Stage Company continues its 39th season of professional theater with the New England premiere of Jason O'Connell and Brenda Withers' Cyrano from July 13 through August 11 at Gloucester Stage Company, 267 East Main Street, Gloucester, MA.
