Artist in Residence Matthew Aucoin will Host LA Opera's New Late-Night Concert Series

New this season, LA Opera presents After Hours: A Musical Nocturne, a post-show, late-night concert series featuring classical and contemporary music, performed along with rock and jazz selections. The series will be hosted and curated by Artist in Residence Matthew Aucoin and will feature music ranging from Franz Schubert, Gustav Mahler and Francis Poulenc to Bruce Springsteen, Nick Drake and Radiohead. Taking place immediately following select opera performances, these events will feature an array of artists performing in the intimate setting of the Founders Room, located on the second floor of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion (135 North Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, 90012).

Rob Stringer, currently Chairman and CEO of Columbia Records, will become CEO of Sony Music Entertainment. He will have overall operational responsibility for Sony Music Entertainment globally. He will report directly to Lynton.

With a show that is a perfect fit for holiday season and the winter ahead, Cabaret's hottest series, New York Cabaret's Greatest Hits (Producer, Stephen Hanks; Associate Producer Fr. Jeffrey Hamblin, MD), will feature Nightclub Singer/Entrepreneur Ellen Kaye with a reprise of her hit 2010 show, Ice Wine: Songs For Christmas and Dark Winter Nights, at the Metropolitan Room on Tuesday, December 13 at 7 pm. The American Music Awards, the world's biggest fan-voted award show, announced today the “2016 American Music Awards” nominees with recording artists Joe Jonas and Rachel Platten revealing six categories of nominees live on ABC's “Good Morning America.” Immediately following the broadcast, five additional categories were announced in real time exclusively via Snapchat (TheAMAs).
