Next to Normal, a Tony Award and a Pulitzer Prize-for-Drama winner, is directed by Mark Seamon and features Actors' Equity Guest Artists Lori Kay Harvey and Jamie Cordes. This rock musical focuses on a suburban family dealing with a mother's escalating bipolar disorder. Music by Tom Kitt and book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey.

Sara Cooper, Zach Redler & Shaina Taub Receive American Theatre Wing's 2014 Jonathan Larson Grants

The American Theatre Wing announced today that the recipients of the 2014 Jonathan Larson Grants are writing team Sara Cooper (lyricist/bookwriter) & Zach Redler (composer), receiving $12,500 and the Running Deer Residency; and Shaina Taub (composer/lyricist), receiving $12,500. The prestigious grants, totaling $15,000 more than last year's grants, will be presented on Monday, April 7, 2014 at a private event at the WNYC Greene Space. The event will feature special performances of the recipients' work.

2014 Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival Announces National Awardees; Festival Set for 4/14-19

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced national awardees of the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. Individuals from across the United States are recognized for outstanding work from the eight regional festivals that were held January 7 through March 1, 2014. Selected awardees and representatives will be brought to Washington, D.C. for an expense-paid trip to participate in the 46th annual Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), April 14-19, 2014.
