Four award-winning playwrights and one acclaimed theatre collective will join the residency programs at Signature Theatre, the company announced today.

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) announces today that Nataki Garrett will become its sixth artistic director in August 2019, succeeding Bill Rauch. The announcement by OSF Emeritus Board Chair and Search Committee Chair Gail Lopes ends a nearly yearlong search.

Weston Playhouse Theatre Company Executive Artistic Director Susanna Gellert announced casting for the 13th Annual Weston-Ghostlight New Musical Award Winner, ALICE BLISS, a musical based on Laura Harrington's acclaimed novel. It follows Alice, a young teenager whose father is deployed to Iraq, as she navigates the challenges of growing up in a family touched by the effects of war.

Currently celebrating its 40th Anniversary Season, Second Stage Theater (Carole Rothman, President and Artistic Director; Casey Reitz, Executive Director) will welcome two new Associate Artistic Directors to the staff. Beginning next month, Christie Evangelisto and Bennett Leak will join the artistic staff of the acclaimed company, working under 2ST President and Artistic Director Carole Rothman. Jeffrey Horowitz announces that TFANA will extend its current four-play season to five plays and present Soho Rep.'s production of Jackie Sibblies Drury's Fairview, staged by Sarah Benson. Fairview will play June 2-30, 2019, on the Samuel H. Scripps Mainstage at Polonsky Shakespeare Center, TFANA's state-of-the-art home in the Brooklyn Cultural District. The return engagement marks the first opportunity for New York audiences to experience this bold, innovative work since its sold-out, thrice-extended world premiere at Soho Rep.
