Branden Jacobs-Jenkins popular comedy APPROPRIATE gets its first Greenville production on June 10th. The dark, family comedy is being produced by The Warehouse Theatre after originally being scheduled during the initial pandemic shutdown.

GLOUCESTER STAGE COMPANY has announced that it will open its 2022 season with the critically acclaimed Pulitzer Prize finalist play, GLORIA, written by the MacArthur Foundation 'genius' grant recipient Branden Jacobs-Jenkins and will be directed by Bryn Boice. The gripping and engrossing play will run from June 3 through June 26.
American Lives Theatre Opens World Premiere Of OAK ISLAND: A NEW MUSICAL

A real-life mysterious island in Nova Scotia is the setting for a brand new musical opening May 27, developed entirely by Indianapolis writers. Joe Barsanti and Brandi Underwood first began work on 'Oak Island: A New Musical' in 2016. Six years, several workshops, a concert version, and one pandemic later; the story of a family reckoning with buried treasures and resentments will finally be open for all to see.
Terry Nemeth, Publisher of Theatre Communications Group, to Retire

Theatre Communications Group, the national organization for theatre, announced that publisher Terry Nemeth will be retiring in the fall of 2022. For almost 40 years, Nemeth has led TCG’s publishing programs, including TCG Books and American Theatre magazine.

Signature Theatre has extended the world premiere of Samuel D. Hunter’s A Case for the Existence of God, directed by David Cromer (Tony Award-winner, The Band’s Visit) to May 29. The production, which opened on May 2, is running on The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 W 42nd St).
