The museum's dungeon includes a rare and unique history of horror and suspense from Hollywood over the years including the original and complete jail sell set used for filming of “The Silence of the Lambs” and is one of the museum's most popular draws year round, with items that that include original costumes and props used in making of the film. 

One would assume that beyond the original novel and the 200+ films made in his honour, there is little more to explore surrounding the lore of Bram Stoker's most iconic villain. Yet in true Imitating the Dog fashion, the innovative theatre company sparks new life into the traditional tale, proving that the story is not quite over yet.

The Resident Ensemble Players will present their audio production of The Murders in the Rue Morgue, newly adapted from Edgar Allan Poe's classic thriller by REP company member Michael Gotch. Streaming October 27th - November 14th, this spine-tingling tale is sure to give you a Halloween fright!

The award-winning Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company presents two events in time for Halloween: 'Nosferatu,' the 1922 silent classic horror film, accompanied by Wayne Zimmerman on the organ on Friday, October 22 at 7:00p.m., and 'Poe by Candlelight' on Saturday, October 23 at 8:00p.m. Both are being presented at The Cape May Presbyterian Church, 500 Hughes Street in Cape May, where the theater is in residence.

Irving Undead – a one-man play starring award-winning actor James Swanton (the demonic spirit in Host) – will be revived this October. The play, which tells the true story of the Victorian actor Henry Irving, is getting four showings at The Space, from 22 to 24 October, as part of the London Horror Festival.

The most famous Gothic horror story of all time, few stories capture the imagination more powerfully than ‘Dracula’. But when James Gaddas (‘Bad Girls’, ‘Coronation Street’, ‘Medics’) comes across Bram Stoker’s original handwritten copy while working on a satellite channel TV show, what he reads chills him to the bone.

There are a number of parallels between the two operas I saw in Santa Fe (NM) this past weekend: The Benjamin Britten/Peter Pears treatment of Shakespeare’s A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM and the world premiere of the John Corigliano/Mark Adamo THE LORD OF CRIES. The first was, for me at least, an all-around, marvelous success, while the other was a disappointment.

Kimmel Cultural Campus has announced the much-anticipated return of in-person performing arts across their venues: the Kimmel Center, the Academy of Music, and the Merriam Theater.
