Nikki M. James, who won a Tony Award for her appearance in The Book of Mormon, will appear as Eileen Sherwood in LA Opera's December presentation of Wonderful Town.

Drama Desk Award-winning actress and singer Rachel York (Disaster!, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Victor/Victoria) embarks on a 10-city concert tour from December, 2016 through April, 2017 beginning with Michael Feinstein's American Songbook at NJPAC! December 1. York joins Feinstein, Andrea McArdle, Jared Grimes, and Youth Songbook Ambassador Julia Goodwin at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark for a cabaret and Q&A featuring favorite American standards. The program will be filmed before a live audience for future broadcast on NJTV, WNET, and WLIW21.

It's only October, but the 2016-17 school year is already off to a frenzied start for Belmont University's Kyle Caress, who this week gets a respite from the halls of academia to spend fall break in New York City with some of his musical theater classmates/comrades/friends, taking in some of the hottest shows on Broadway before returning to Nashville to put the finishing touches on the department's fall musical offering.

Make no mistake about it, to know Lauri Gregoire is to love her - just ask the legions of people lucky enough to know her throughout her life, particularly those who have come to know her in the 20-plus years she's lived in Nashville. Which brings us to this year's first installment of our popular feature/interview series, Collegiate Theatrics, featuring Belmont University sophomore Mary-Alexis McEntire, who is perhaps better known to friends, family and fans as Lexie McEntire. The Fairfax, Virginia, native is in the initial throes of her second year at the school - known widely for its theater and dance and musical theatre programs - as another young artist in a long line of Belmont students (then and now) making their names known on stages all over the globe.

Tony Award winner Anthony Crivello will join the cast of Studio Tenn and Tennessee Performinig Arts Center's production of Evita this September, playing the role of Juan Peron. Playing opposite Crivello in the eponymous role of Eva Peron is Broadway diva Eden Espinosa.
