Hubbard Street Dance Chicago has announced the company’s 45th anniversary ‘sapphire’ season: a dynamic mix of world premieres and revivals of company and audience favorites.

Santa Fe Playhouse’s new Skeletal Series is a three-week festival featuring solo shows by visiting theater artists from around the country. Three vastly different productions run Wednesday through Saturday evenings, with a Saturday matinee.

The National Center for Choreography - Akron will welcome the fourth cohort of the Creative Administration Research (CAR) program. Four new CAR Artist Teams include lead artists Edgar L. Page (Denver, CO), Jamal Oliver and Brandon Calhoun (Chicago, IL), Takahiro Yamamoto (Portland, OR), and Umi IMAN Siferllah-Griffin (Atlanta, GA).

Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company has announced The Bridge Virtual Dance Institute of boundary-breaking dance experiences free one-hour company classes on Zoom open to all dancers at an Intermediate to Advanced Level July 6, 2022.

Company SBB // Stefanie Batten Bland's newest work, Embarqued: Stories of Soil, a dance-theatre work that interrogates existing relationships to memorials, will be presented at the Bates Dance Festival in Lewiston, ME, July 23–24, and will have its New York premiere at BAM, November 1–5, as part of the 2022 Next Wave Festival.

ALL ARTS will join forces with Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage to present its first live dance program, featuring Les Ballet Afrik, July 15 at Flushing Meadows Corona Park. The performances are part of a SummerStage double bill that also features Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company.

Hennepin Theatre Trust announced that it is partnering with The Cedar Cultural Center and Native American Community Development Institute (NACDI) to present Welcome to Indian Country at The Cedar Cultural Center (416 Cedar Ave., Minneapolis) on Thursday, Aug. 11 at 7:30 p.m. 

The Bronx Music Heritage Center (BMHC) has announced the latest slate of “Rock the Bronx” summer concerts on the plaza outside the Bronx Music Hall (438 East 163rd Street). The series features emerging artists from the borough and the surrounding area that span various genres bringing a variety of new sounds to the South Bronx throughout the summer.

The Lincoln Center Theater Board of Directors has announced that Kewsong Lee has been elected Chair, effective July 1.  Mr. Lee, who previously served as LCT Board President, will succeed Eric Mindich who served as Chair from July 1, 2016.

On Tuesday, June 14th, 2022, No Dream Deferred NOLA announced its inaugural new play festival, WE WILL DREAM: New Works Festival supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The festival will run from March 19, 2023-June 19, 2023. Performances will take place at the newly announced Andre Cailloux Center for Performing Arts and Cultural Justice, located at 2541 Bayou Road in the historic Bayou Road Corridor.

Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company will be performing in celebration of the Dragon Boat Festival at the Hostos Center for the Arts & Culture on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at 3pm in the Repertory Theater.
