The Off Broadway Alliance, an organization of Off Broadway producers, theaters, general managers, press agents, and marketing professionals has announced the winners of the 9th Annual Off Broadway Alliance Awards, honoring commercial and not-for-profit productions that opened Off Broadway during the 2018-2019 season.

Gloucester Stage Artistic Director Robert Walsh and Interim Managing Director Chris Griffith recently announced that the non-profit theater's 40th anniversary season will include regional premiere of The Lifespan of a Fact from August 30 through September 22.  Gloucester Stage will be the first theater in the country to produce the critically-acclaimed The Lifespan of a Fact since the play's SRO smash hit world premiere Broadway run featuring Daniel Radcliffe, Cherry Jones, and Bobby Cannavale closed in January 2019.

 A new independent feature film is about to be made in the beautiful, yet rarely used for feature film production, state of New Hampshire. PARALLEL AMERICA, written by Ernest Thompson, Oscar® & Golden Globe® winner for his screenplay of On Golden Pond,  Ernest will also direct and star in the film. Gloucester Stage Company continues its 39th season of professional theater with the New England premiere of Jason O'Connell and Brenda Withers' Cyrano from July 13 through August 11 at Gloucester Stage Company, 267 East Main Street, Gloucester, MA. In 'Radio Mystery 1949 ' by Dennis Richard, a post-WWII radio murder mystery is outdone by real-life drama when a mysterious actor carries what may or may not be a bomb into a sound stage during a live performance. The nail-biting production is directed by Richmond Shepard. Clarion Theatre, John P. Greene and Fae Simmons will present the piece tonight, September 15 to 26 at the Clarion Theatre, 309 East 26th Street, Manhattan.

Previews will began June 2 with an official opening tonight, June 18 at CSC (136 East 13th Street). Performances have been extended through Sunday, July 12.

Herlihy, Walker Jones, Marina Lazzaretto, Geoffrey Owens and Lucas Caleb Rooney.
