Sony Classical will release pianist Simone Dinnerstein's next album, Broadway-Lafayette, in the US on February 24, 2015. The music on this album celebrates the time-honored transatlantic link between France and America through the music of George Gershwin (Rhapsody in Blue), Maurice Ravel (Piano Concerto in G Major), and Philip Lasser (The Circle and the Child: Concerto for Piano and Orchestra, written for Dinnerstein). The album was recorded with conductor Kristjan Järvi and the MDR Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra, by Grammy-winning producer Adam Abeshouse. (more...)

The Poets' Theatre has announced that it is reorganizing and planning to present a full season of programming in 2014-2015. This historic Cambridge based organization will be led by Robert Scanlan, as President and Artistic Director, Benjamin Evett as the new Producing Artistic Director, and David Gullette as Literary Director. Scanlan, Evett, and Gullette have been charged by the Board of Directors to bring The Poets' Theatre back to prominence after more than a decade of inactivity. They will professionalize the company, create valuable partnerships with other organizations, and develop the resources to allow the theatre to present top quality productions in a regular and sustainable manner. A sold-out crowd filled Cambridge's Royal Sonesta Grand Ballroom for Bidding for Good auction, reception and sit-down dinner. with rapturous applause and standing ovations throughout the evening on Monday December 2. New York, NY — Sony Classical will release pianist Simone Dinnerstein's next album, a recording of J.S. Bach's Inventions and Sinfonias, in the US on January 14, 2014. The recording was made at the Academy of Arts and Letters in New York by Grammy-winning producer Adam Abeshouse. Bach's Inventions and Sinfonias, originally written in 1723 as musical guide for keyboard players, remain a core part of the piano repertoire for students, amateurs, and professional musicians alike and have been lifelong companions for Dinnerstein.
