According to Deadline.com, Broadway veteran Jessica Lange has joined the cast of Ryan Murphy's new FX pilot 'American Horror Story.' Lange will star opposite previously announced Connie Britton and Denis O'Hare.

The Village Voice, the nation's largest alternative weekly newspaper, announced today that the 56th Annual Obie Awards will take place on Monday, May 16, 2011 at Webster Hall in the East Village (125 East 11th Street). The Awards Will Be Presented By: Alec Baldwin, Arian Moayed, Jim Parsons, John Larroquette, Lee Pace, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Mamie Gummer, Margaret Colin, Nina Arianda, Patina Miller, Robert Sean Leonard, Rose Hemingway and S. Epatha Merkerson.

Deadline reports that Alec Baldwin has signed on to the cast of director Woody Allen's next film. The '30 Rock' star will join a cast that, thus far, only publicly includes Penelope Cruz, who last week confirmed that the film will be shot in Rome. Deadline also reports that Allen is also eyeing Jesse Eisenberg for a lead part.

According to IMDB, Tom Cruise, who will soon be staring in the big screen adaptation of ROCK OF AGES, is preparing to play 'Stacee Jaxx'by studying with Axl Rose's vocal coach. Cruise will be joined on screen by Julianne Hough, Alec Baldwin, Mary J. Blige and Diego González Boneta , reportedly Russell Brand.

On May 2 at 8:00 PM, The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street), led by Marvin Leffler (President) and Lawrence Zucker (Executive Director), will celebrate its 90th Anniversary with 'Town Hall at 90,' a benefit concert paying tribute to the rich cultural history of the institution from 1921 to the present day. The concert will star Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown, Tony Award nominee Liz Callaway, Tony Award nominee and Drama Desk, Theatre world and Emmy Award winner Tovah Feldshuh, legendary Jazz guitarist and banjoist Bucky Pizzarelli and Tony Award nominee Emily Skinner. Dancers/choreographers Jeffry Denman ('White Christmas,' 'Yank!') and Noah Racey ('Curtains') will dance together. The performance list is still in formation as of this writing and more will be announced. Scott Siegel, creator/writer and host of The Town Hall's acclaimed Broadway By The Year series, has written and will host the evening. All proceeds will benefit The Town Hall's Educational Outreach program.

The Town Hall, 123 West 43rd Street, Times Square's landmark concert venue, will welcome back the Romulo Larrea Tango Ensemble for the world premiere of 'Tangos from Gardel to Piazzolla,' a concert evening of Tango dance and music, Friday, April 29 at 8:00 PM.

The New York Philharmonic is presenting Stephen Sondheim's groundbreaking Company, with an all-star cast led by Neil Patrick Harris (Robert). The award-winning musical is being produced and directed by Lonny Price, who directed and co-produced last season's SONDHEIM: The Birthday Concert!, and is being conducted by Sondheim specialist Paul Gemignani, with the original orchestrations for a 35-piece orchestra by Jonathan Tunick. The concert runs through April 9, 2011.
