 Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater has announced that tickets are now on sale for live simulcasts of Eduardo Machado's Celia and Fidel. For select performances from November 10 through 21, 2021, patrons can watch the livestream. 

Arena Stage’s production of Celia and Fidel, directed by Molly Smith, is a fast-paced drama set within Cuban politics during Castro’s dictatorship. 

As Fidel Castro ponders on how to move his country forward, his political partner, Celia Sánchez, is never far from his side. Imbued with magical realism, Celia and Fidel is the dynamic story of radical change in Cuba featuring the country's most notorious political figure and Cuba's most influential female revolutionary.

Eduardo Machado's Celia and Fidel, set at the beginning of the Mariel Boatlift crisis in 1980, explores the bravado, self-delusion, frustration and paranoia that were the hallmarks of Fidel Castro's rule over Cuba. Director Molly Smith has worked her cast into a taut, suspenseful emotional pitch, with nuances galore to enjoy and contemplate.

Dorset Theatre Festival, under the leadership of Artistic Director Dina Janis and Producing Director Will Rucker, will present Three Girls Never Learnt The Way Home by Matthew Paul Olmos on Tuesday, July 23, 2019. This is the second reading of the acclaimed Pipeline Series of three one-night-only presentations of new work. Three Girls was most recently read in New York City as part of the Mentor Project at the Cherry Lane Theatre in March 2019. Olmos is a three-time Sundance Institute FellowshipResidency recipient and his play so go the ghosts of mexico, part one was a New York Times Critic's Pick.

In honor of Black History month, the Live from Lincoln Center presentation of PIPELINE will air Friday, February 8 at 9 p.m. on PBS*. Produced in partnership with BroadwayHD, PIPELINE depicts a mother's hopes for her son and their clash with an educational system rigged against him. The powerful work was originally staged at Lincoln Center Theater in 2017 to wide critical acclaim, and was hailed as "potent and intensely acted" by the New York Times, and confirmed Dominique Morisseau's "reputation as a playwright of piercing eloquence".
