The Audio Publishers Association has announced finalists for the 2023 Audie Awards®, the premier awards program recognizing distinction in audiobooks and spoken-word entertainment. Winners across 26 competitive categories will be revealed at the Audie Awards Gala on March 28. The ceremony will be streamed to the public from Chelsea Piers’ Pier Sixty in NYC. 

The Ambies celebrate excellence in podcasting and elevate awareness and status of podcasts as a unique and personal medium for entertainment, information, storytelling and expression. NBC News has created a new Climate Unit dedicated to covering the most important issues affecting the environment globally. As part of the Climate Unit's debut, NBC News, MSNBC, Telemundo and NBC News Digital will kick off “Climate in Crisis,” a week-long series focused on climate issues, beginning Sunday, September 15.

Today, MSNBC named Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Trymaine Lee a Correspondent for MSNBC. Lee – who until now was a National Reporter contributing online and on air for NBC News and MSNBC digital – will remain based in New York City. His appointment is effective immediately.

MSNBC was honored by the National Association of Black Journalists with three 2015 Salute to Excellence Awards for the network's original reporting from the protests in Ferguson, MO. The cable news network dominated the Digital Media categories, picking up three of the seven awards.
