Jazz vocalist and pianist Sarah McKenzie is set to release her new album 'Without You' featuring renowned Brazilian guitarist Romero Lubambo and cellist Jacques Morelenbaum, along with drummer Peter Erskine. The album is a culmination of McKenzie's career and showcases her collaboration with the talented trio.

Wolfgang Muthspiel has shared the title track from his upcoming new album. 'Dance of the Elders' is streaming at all DSPs now. The album, Dance of the Elders, sees the award-winning Austrian musician accompanied by bassist Scott Colley (Jim Hall, Andrew Hill, Donny McCaslin) and drummer Brian Blade (Joni Mitchell, Chick Corea, Christian McBride).

Recorded in Los Angeles at Tritone Recording, the album includes players Reggie Hamilton (bass), Peter Erskine (drums), James Harrah (acoustic, electric guitars), Dean Parks (pedal steel guitar), and Roni Eytan (harmonica), with Reade Pryor and Pete Griffin (drums and bass on “That Old Tune Called Romance”).

In response to Covid to provide some money to NYC’s many out-of-work or underemployed string musicians, Manny Alvarez launched a “Kolstein Performance Showcase” in collaboration with the Essex House on Central Park South/7th.  There is an ongoing schedule every Friday evening from 7-8 PM.
