The cast for Jamie Armitage's chilling new play, An Interrogation, produced by Ellie Keel, has been announced!  Inspired by a true story, this tense thriller follows a conversation between an ambitious young detective and a seemingly respectable businessman.

VAULT Festival marked the end of its decade-long run at its original venue, The Vaults on Sunday 19th March, bringing to a close a record-breaking year which welcomed more than 81,000 audience members throughout its eight week run.

Clark stars alongside Rebecca Banatvala (Much Ado About Nothing, RSC; The Princess Switch 3, Netflix; The Syndicate, BBC).

Paradise Now! a funny and raging new play about ambition, exploitation, and kinship in a world that wants to keep us strangers, opens at the Bush Theatre on 2 December (press night 8 December).  This new Bush Theatre commission by Margaret Perry (Collapsible) is an exciting collaboration with director Jaz Woodcock-Stewart (Civilisation) and features an all-female ensemble cast.

The Shepherd's Bush venue continues its history of shining a light on unheard voices and reflecting issues in the community and today releases tickets for the second part of its 50th birthday season.

The Kitchen Theatre Company finishes out the streaming portion of its 2020-2021 Season, The Journey to 30, with Bloom Where You're Planted: A Twenty Year Artistic Journey, a film by Artistic Director Emerita Rachel Lampert and former Associate Producing Director, Lesley Greene.

45North and Ellie Keel Productions today announce full casts for Amanda Wilkin and Rachael Nanyonjo's recognition, available from 17 February; and Jaclyn Backhaus' The Giant Pacific Octopus Maritime School, the penultimate piece in the audio play series, Written on the Waves, which will be released 8 April. The final play in the series will be announced shortly.

45North and Ellie Keel Productions today announce Olivia Williams in Rafaella Marcus' The You Play Volume Two: The Haunted Woman, her second play in the audio project Written on the Waves. Directed by Jessica Lazar, it follows the previous collaboration on Marcus' debut The You Play: small acts, and will be available from 14 December 2020.

45North and Ellie Keel Productions today announce their collaboration on a brand-new audio project a?" Written on the Waves, showcasing the best in new writing, directing, acting and sound design, and engaging with over 60 freelance creatives and including co-productions with Atticist, HOTTER Project, and The North Wall.   

Over four nights (28 April - 1 May), audiences throughout Ireland and across the globe can watch the world premiere of Dear Ireland a?" a historic digital theatre project that brings together 50 brand new monologues, commissioned by the Abbey Theatre as a rapid response to the COVID-19 crisis. Each piece of work was written and created in self isolation by 100 participating artists.

James Morton is a playwright from Stoke-On-Trent. His debut play Father's Son was shortlisted for the Tony Craze Award and after a reading at Soho Theatre premiered at this year's Vault Festival. Morton spoke with Broadway World about the process of writing and putting on the play as well as mental health, labels and the lockdown.

The Abbey Theatre has commissioned writers from Ireland, with unique additional contributions from the USA, China and Italy, to each write a monologue, to be performed by 50 actors, and then streamed on the Abbey's digital platforms. Today, 15 April 2020, Graham McLaren and Neil Murray, Directors of the Abbey Theatre, announce the lineup of artists taking part in the theatre's historic project, Dear Ireland.

The Bush Theatre's studio feels like a perfect place for this play, as it demands close proximity between the audience and actor. Sitting on a raised ledge, Essie tells us the story of her job displacement, intertwining conversations she's had with her friends, family and former partners. Her aim is to make a list of words that describe her - in order for her to pull them out when being asked about herself in interviews. Words like smart, practical, and perfectionist are a few that have been chosen to be used.
