The excitement is mounting, for the annual production of Love in Bloom, presented by Universal Temple of the Arts, Staten Island's premiere arts, cultural and education organization known for providing an array of enrichment programs to its residents since 1967 and producer of the Staten Island Jazz Festival. The Love in Bloom showcase has wowed audiences over the years in spirit of the organizations mission of ' quickening the creative spirit in the individual and fostering brotherly love '.
Continuing its success of presenting programs that celebrate the popular genres in Latin music, including Boogaloo and Mambo, the Hostos Center presents a nostalgic look back at the Charanga era, based on lively Cuban dances, with 'Charanga-Fest' featuring three of the top Charanga bands in New York, and special guest artists today, November 5, at 7:30 PM in the Center's Main Theater.
