Freebird Goes to Mars, the original one-woman show created by and starring actress Betsy Moore (While the Trees Sleep, official selection of Cannes Film Festival 2016), will return to Los Angeles for a special limited engagement as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival for a five performance run at The Lounge Theatre (Lunge 2) (located at 6201 Santa Monica Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90038).

Named "Best Show" by LA Weekly during Son of Semele's 2015 Solo Creation Festival, Freebird Goes to Mars, the original one-woman show created and starring actress Betsy Moore (While the Trees Sleep, official selection of Cannes Film Festival 2016), will make its New York debut on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 6:00pm during the 8th Annual United Solo Theatre Festival.

Three finalists have been selected for Center Theatre Group's 2015 Richard E. Sherwood Award.

Center Theatre Group (CTG) is now accepting submissions for the 2015 Richard E. Sherwood Award. The Sherwood Award is an annual $10,000 fund to support Los Angeles theatre artists. The award is presented each year at the Ovation Awards ceremony produced by LA Stage Alliance.

Center Theatre Group is now accepting submissions for the 2014 Richard E. Sherwood Award, an annual $10,000 grant that supports Los Angeles artists. The deadline for submitting an application is July 1, 2013.

Center Theatre Group has announced the participants for the 2012-2013 Writers' Workshop. Administered by CTG's Literary Department, the Writers' Workshop consists of eight Los Angeles playwrights who meet once a month over nine months to share their work and assist one another in the creative process of developing a play.
