Revelers celebrated XL Promotional Director Dougie Meyer's birthday and sang and danced along to VJ Tony Built's music and visuals from some of Broadway's biggest shows, which could be viewed across a half-dozen screens throughout the club. The owners of XL Nightclub have just announced that as previously rumored, they will indeed be 'taking over' Musical Mondays, which will be renamed as Monday Musicals, and will kick off with an exciting lineup of special events beginning with a performance by Tony Award winning Kinky Boots star Billy Porter who will help launch Monday Musicals at XL on August 12th.
And this Monday, May 20th, John Bantay will do his farewell SPIN as he leaves to continue pursuing his career and becomes a stage manager at the long-running musical, Avenue Q.
