The theater community spans across the world, but it is famously small. So when you don't pay people who works for you, it tends to get out, especially if those folks have Broadway connections. Such is the pickle that former performer and casting director David Petro seems to have found himself in. He allegedly hasn't paid various people who worked for him teaching master classes and word is now spreading.

For the first time ever, a Hamilton star is giving unprecedented classes to Northbrook's aspiring performing artists in partnership with Rootz and Broadway Break Thru.

The College Break Thru program completed its inaugural year on Friday, June 29th when it awarded over $500,000 in scholarships to students.

Broadway Break Thru (BBT) today announces that Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student and survivor, Sawyer Garrity, will be a participant attending the first ever 'College Break Thru' in Chicago. Scheduled to take place Monday, June 25th thru Friday, June 29th at the University Center Chicago (525 S State Street), the summer symposium gives performing arts students the opportunity to receive the tools needed to excel in their auditions and performances while also providing more than $250,000 in college scholarships.

For the first time ever, 22 of the world's top performing arts schools will come together in Chicago this summer for Chicago-based company, Broadway Break Thru's, College Break Thru summer symposium with more than $250,000 in college scholarships being awarded.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival, Sharon Carr and Richard Winkler present IDAHO! (www.IdahoMusical.com), a new American comedy musical with book, music and lyrics by Buddy Sheffield and music by Keith Thompson. IDAHO! runs September 25st at 8:00pm, September 26th at 5:00pm, September 28th at 5:00pm, September 28th at 9:00 pm, September 30th 9:00pm, and October 4th at 9:00pm at 37 Arts Theatre (450 W. 37th Street).

Jim Caruso's Cast Party and TheaterMania.com presented the Jeremy Schonfeld OFFICIAL CD RELEASE PARTY FOR 37 NOTEBOOKS Monday, May 5, 2008 at 7:00pm, as part of the long-running, critically-heralded and popular concert series Broadway at Birdland. 37 Notebooks features some of Broadway's hottest vocal talents, many of whom will be onstage with Schonfeld to celebrate the album's release, including: Luther Creek ('Flight of the Conchords'); Julie Danao-Salkin ('Lennon'); Jarrod Emick (Tony Award Winner for 'Damn Yankees'); Donnie Kehr ('Jersey Boys'); Lauren Kennedy ('Spamalot'); Kate Shindle ('Legally Blonde'); Amy Spanger ('Kiss Me, Kate'); Tracie Thoms ('Rent: The Movie'); and Natalie Weiss (American Idol). The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) will return to Atlanta, Georgia this summer to host the third annual Broadway Boot Camp. With special instruction from stars Shoshana Bean, Gavin Creel, Blake Daniel, Norm Lewis, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Amanda Watkins.
