Art House Productions has announced their first audio play, Black Tom Island by Martin Casella available starting Monday, January 18 at 10:00am EST. A free virtual panel discussion about the actual event featuring historians and the play's creative team will take place on Sunday, February 7 at 3:00pm EST on Zoom.

Fellowship for Performing Arts announced today complete casting for the second annual Imagine This!, a festival of staged readings featuring plays under consideration for future development that will take place December 4, 5 and 6. Performances will take place at Theatre Three at Theatre Row (410 W. 42nd Street, New York, NY 10036).

Premiere Stages at Kean University will present Martin Casella's Black Tom Island October 11-21 at Liberty Hall Museum (1003 Morris Avenue, Union, N.J.). Originally commissioned over a two-year cycle through Premiere's Liberty Live Commission, Black Tom Island will feature actors Damian Buzzerio, Mason Hensley, Jenna Krasowski and Bart Shatto. Producing artistic director John J. Wooten directs.

Premiere Stages will present three free readings of the 2017/2018 Liberty Live Commission, Black Tom Island by Jersey City resident Martin Casella, November 17th through 19th in the Miron Student Center Little Theatre at Kean University.

One of the biggest thrills I get as a theatre reviewer is to experience a show that I love in a new light, and to discover things about it that I never noticed before, no matter how many times I may have seen it. Playhouse on Park continues its Main Stage series with the 2001 Pulitzer prize-winning and Tony award-winning show Proof written by David Auburn, which opens Friday, January 23 at 8:00 p.m. Proof follows the young Catherine, who faces her father Robert's untimely death on the eve of her twenty-fifth birthday. While she may have inherited her father's genius, Catherine seems to share the same deteriorating wits and emotional instability. She must also face the arrival of Claire, her estranged sister; and a developing relationship with Hal, a mentee of her late father who seeks to find a mathematical breakthrough hidden within the 103 notebooks Robert left behind. Proof will be playing from January 21-February 8, 2015.
