'The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder' picks up the story of its central character, Penny Proud, and includes her madcap family: parents Oscar and Trudy, twin siblings BeBe and CeCe, and grandmother Suga Mama (and Puff!). Of course, it would not be 'The Proud Family' without Penny's loyal crew Dijonay Jones, LaCienega Boulevardez and more.

Disney+ has ordered the long-anticipated revival of the groundbreaking animated series 'The Proud Family' which, 18 years after its Disney Channel premiere, is still beloved for its characters, stories and multilayered humor and for its messages about inclusion and cultural diversity in a smart, modern way. The new animated family sitcom 'The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder' is currently in production at Disney Television Animation with Academy Award-winning creator/executive producer Bruce W. Smith and executive producer Ralph Farquhar, who led the original series, at the helm, reuniting them with Calvin Brown, Jr. who is co-executive producer and story editor.

Charles Mingus Awareness Project Comes to Firehouse
Since 2007, drummer/composer Brian Jones has been presenting Mingus Awareness Project concerts in Richmond. This year's concert will take place on Sun, June 9 @ 7pm at Firehouse Theatre, 1609 W. Broad St, Richmond, VA 23220. Tickets are $15 in advance / $20 day of / $10 students, with all proceeds going to the ALS Foundation. Tickets can be purchased at https://mingus.bpt.me or by calling 804.355.2001.

The Shaker Heights High School Theatre Arts Department presents the thirty-sixth festival of new plays, written, directed, performed and co-produced by students, Stages 36: Shaker New Plays Series, March 21, 22, 23 & 24 at 7 PM with a 9:15 PM show on Friday, March 23, in our intimate black box theatre, Stage 3. Six ten-minute plays will be presented as part of a full season of theatrical events, which began with Sense and Sensibility and Carrie, the musical, and concludes with Origin: A Spring Ensemble Show, in April.
