Caitlin O'Connell BIO

Caitlin O'Connell is a talented actress who has made a name for herself on Broadway and beyond. Born in Washington, D.C., O'Connell was raised in a family of performers and grew up with a love for the arts.
O'Connell's Broadway debut came in 2003 when she appeared in the musical "Amour." She played the role of Madeleine, a woman who falls in love with a man who can walk through walls. Although the show only ran for a few months, O'Connell's performance was praised by critics and she was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical.
After "Amour," O'Connell continued to work in theater, appearing in productions of "The Coast of Utopia," "The Front Page," and "The Heiress." She also made her mark in the world of television, with recurring roles on shows like "The Good Wife," "Law & Order: SVU," and "The Sinner."
In 2014, O'Connell returned to Broadway in the revival of "The Bridges of Madison County." She played the role of Marge, a nosy neighbor who becomes a confidant to the show's main character, Francesca. O'Connell received rave reviews for her performance, with The New York Times describing her as "a highlight of the show."
O'Connell's success on stage and screen has also led to opportunities in the world of music. In 2017, she performed in a concert production of the musical "Chess" at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. The production featured a star-studded cast, including Ramin Karimloo and Karen Olivo, and O'Connell received praise for her performance as Svetlana.
In addition to her work as an actress, O'Connell is also a writer and producer. She co-wrote and starred in the short film "The Other Client List," which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2012. She has also produced several theater productions, including "The Good Negro" and "The Happiest Song Plays Last."
Most recently, O'Connell appeared in the Broadway production of "The Ferryman" in 2019. The play, which won the Tony Award for Best Play, tells the story of a family in Northern Ireland during the Troubles. O'Connell played the role of Aunt Maggie Far Away, a woman who has been living in a state of confusion since the death of her husband.
