The Board of Directors of Broken Nose Theatre today announced Artistic Director E.M. Davis and Managing Director Rose Hamill will step down from their leadership roles effective September 1, 2022.

Broken Nose Theatre is pleased to announce the full line-up for BECHDEL FEST 7: MOMENTUM, the company's annual festival of new short plays featuring an ensemble of female-identifying and non-binary actors talking about things other than men. Presented as part of Steppenwolf's LookOut Series, BECHDEL FEST will play four performances only, August 25 - 28, 2019 at Steppenwolf's 1700 Theatre, 1700 N. Halsted St. in Chicago. Tickets for all BNT productions are available on a "pay-what-you-can" basis, allowing patrons to set their own price and ensuring theatre remains economically accessible for all audiences. Broken Nose Theatre Names New Artistic Director & Managing Director


Broken Nose Theatre today announced two major leadership appointments. Associate Artistic Director Elise Marie Davis has been named the company's new Artistic Director, succeeding Founding Artistic Director Benjamin Brownson. Brownson, who has led the company since its formation in 2012, is taking a brief sabbatical and will return as the company's Executive Director in 2019. Additionally, Company Manager Rose Hamill will assume the newly created position of Managing Director.

The League of Chicago Theatres held the 2018 Annual Gala, an elegant event that brings together friends of Chicago theatre to raise funds for programs to support Chicagoland's more than 250-member theatre companies. The event, which had 245 attendees and raised $125,000, was held on Monday, May 21, 2018 at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, 120 E. Delaware Place.
