Due to popular demand, The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts and Hidden Beach Experiences announce the addition of a second free Unwrapped Live! concert, taking place on Saturday, March 12 at 10:30 p.m. in the Walt Disney Theater. The first concert of the night remains at 7:30 p.m at the venue in Downtown Orlando. Both performances will be broadcast live on the Dr. Phillips Center lawn. Guests arriving after the Walt Disney Theater capacity is reached for each show are invited to watch these live outdoor broadcasts.

Unwrapped Live! features an all-star band of players and vocalists performing contemporary jazz and new arrangements of hip-hop hits, melding in the sounds and styles of R&B, Latin and soul throughout. An arts education component to this urban music experience will take place on Friday, March 11, engaging up to 250 Orange County Public School high school students.

The Unwrapped all-star band features award-winning guest artists who reimagine chart-topping hip-hop hits made popular by Kanye West, Dr. Dre, Tupac, Wiz Khalifa, Notorious B.I.G., Eminem, Nelly, Drake and many more.

The band is lead by musical director, Hidden Beach recording artist Mike Phillips. A saxophone virtuoso, Phillips has traveled around the world, performing with such greats as Prince, Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder.

The roster of world-renowned artists scheduled to join Phillips at the Orlando premiere engagement of Unwrapped Live! is an unprecedented line-up. Currently scheduled to appear are Grammy-nominated percussionist and vocalist Sheila E., award-winning composer and vibraphone player Roy Ayers, acclaimed violinist Karen Briggs, Grammy award-winning producer and bass player Andrew Gouché, Grammy award-winning drummer Brian Collier, internationally-celebrated guitarist Yohei Nakamura, keyboardist Chris Turner, turntable legend DJ OG One, and international recording group FarYoung. Additional artists will be announced and are subject to change.

The Unwrapped series was developed from a jam session of talented musicians, resulting in seven recorded volumes that feed the desires of DJs and true music lovers. Unwrapped Live! events are being curated from coast-to-coast, where the classic Unwrapped sound evolves in a live music experience for new and loyal fans.

Arts Education

On Friday, March 11, Hidden Beach music artists will create a relevant, interactive day of learning for Orange County Public School high school students through workshops and master classes. Focusing on improvisational music, the artists will infuse urban and hip-hop music while connecting students to the music genre of jazz.

Participating students are invited to an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the artists' performance day schedule in preparation for the free concert on Saturday, March 12. They will attend a professional sound check, have a Q&A session with the artists, meet and greet Steve McKeever for a preview lecture and enjoy dinner together as a group before attending the concert.

Unwrapped Live! is made possible by the support of generous sponsors: UP Development, Florida Blue, Highwinds, Downtown Development Board, Orange County Public Schools and Orlando Magic, as well as valued media partners Bright House Networks, Fox 35/WOFL, My 65/WRBW-TV, I Heart Media, Orlando Sentinel and Clear Channel Outdoor.
