Mad Cow Theatre Presents Spanish Play Readings and FREE Spanish Acting Classes

This season, Mad Cow Theatre will offer two free acting classes and two play readings in all Spanish as part of it's Teatro Español and Clases de Teatro programs.

Led by actress, director, playwright, and acting teacher Eliana Stratico, Clases de Teatro 2016 include an "Acting Training" course on October 1, which includes acting exercises, character development, and improvisation techniques, and on December 6 & 7, a 2-day workshop entitled "Living Text on Stage" will explore texts by authors such as Jorge Luis Borges, Juan Ramón Jiménez, and Pablo Neruda. Both courses are for bilingual adult actors and acting students over 18. All classes are free, limited to 20 participants. Teatro Español 2016-2017 includes readings of two works by playwright Federico García Lorca: La Casa de Bernarda Alba (September 27 & 28, 2016) and Yerma(February 7 & 8, 2017). Both readings will be directed by Eliana Stratico. Tickets are $12, available at MadCowTheatre.com or 407-297-8788.

Eliana Stratico received her degree of Actri?z Nacional (BA in Acting) from the Instituto Universitario Nacional del Arte of Argentina and her Master of Education degree from Northeastern University. Since 1996 she has been active as an actress, director, playwright, and acting teacher in Buenos Aires and Boston. She has experience teaching undergraduate level Spanish classes, and developing Spanish through the arts curricula from middle school to professional development workshops for Spanish teachers and lecturers.

Founded in 2014 by Mad Cow Theatre, Teatro Español and Clases de Teatro are committed to bringing great Spanish theatre, performed in its original language, to Central Florida, and to providing Spanish-language classes and workshops to the community.
