Local celebrity Marina Jurica blows into The Winter Park Playhouse this Fall showing off more than her television skills as she performs her solo cabaret " Love and The Weather" in the theatre's popular Spotlight Cabaret Series, tonight and tomorrow, October 7 and 8, 2015. Playhouse Music Director Christopher Leavy will accompany on piano.

The WFTV meteorologist will show off her vocal range as she performs a clever mix of hit songs about the weather from Broadway and more! Come share her story through song as she takes you through the seasons of her life. Her soprano voice will highlight songs that are well-known to us all - Singin' In The Rain, It's Too Darn Hot, and Blue Skies just to name a few.

Beyond her presence as our local weather expert, Marina is a graduate of UCLA with a B.A. in Opera performance and continues to study with Dr. Everett McCorvey at University of Kentucky Opera.

Ms. Jurica has a strong background in both opera and musical theatre performance and has been showcased locally with The Orlando Philharmonic as a soloist. Other credits include vocal solo performances with The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, UK Opera Theatre, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Minnesota Opera, Fullerton Civic Light Opera, and Paragon Musical Theatre to name a few.

"Don't miss this one-of-a-kind cabaret with a fabulous performer that has made Central Florida her home", states Playhouse Executive Director Heather Alexander, "Seats sell out fast to the cabarets at The Playhouse so call or go online soon!"

General Admission tickets are $20 plus a one drink minimum. Once sold out, a limited number of "Standing Room Only" tickets are available for $10. Seating is limited so advance reservations are strongly recommended. Doors open at 6:30 pm for a 7:30 pm cabaret.

Call The Winter Park Playhouse box office for tickets 407-645-0145 or purchase online at www.winterparkplayhouse.org.
