Tony Nominee Emily Skinner Performs One Night Only at Lyric's Plaza Theatre Tonight

Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma celebrates the best of Broadway through special events with theatre's brightest stars. Tonight, July 17 at Lyric's Plaza Theatre, Tony Award nominee Emily Skinner is performing her one night only concert BROADWAY, HER WAY!

"Lyric is extremely proud to bring Oklahomans the finest that Broadway has to offer, including hosting talented artists like Emily," said Michael Baron, Lyric's artistic director. "I have loved her work for years, and I'm delighted that she will be performing her solo concert here!"

Emily Skinner will star in Lyric's productions of DISNEY'S THE LITTLE MERMAID and A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, and has captivated audiences worldwide with her electric stage presence and breathtaking singing. She has been seen on Broadway and across the country in shows like BILLY ELLIOTT THE MUSICAL, JEKYLL & HYDE, and THE FULL MONTY. She brings her special solo concert, which blends the work of classic composers like Stephen Sondheim, George Gershwin, and Rodgers and Hammerstein with Broadway's hottest up and coming songwriters.

BROADWAY, HER WAY! will be performed tonight, July 17 at 8:00 PM at Lyric's Plaza Theatre. Tickets are $25, and are now on sale to the general public. Tickets can be purchased at LyricTheatreOKC.com, by calling (405) 524-9312 or stopping by 1727 NW 16th Street.

Founded in 1963, Lyric is Oklahoma's leading professional theatre company. For over 50 years, Lyric has produced classic and contemporary musicals and plays featuring both nationally known Broadway stars and local favorites.
