The Childrens Acting Company Presents WILLY WONKA JR at McGinn/Cazale Theatre, Now thru 2/3
The Childrens Acting Company (CAA), an arm of the internationally acclaimed The Children's Acting Academy of New York, will present its production of Willy Wonka Jr for six performances at Manhattan's McGinn/Cazale Theatre, 2162 Broadway, 4th Floor, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, tonight, January 25, 26 and 27 at 7 PM and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, February 1, 2 and 3, at 7 PM.
The production, directed by Mimi Stuart, choreographed by Juliet Brooks and musical directed by Mitch Raftery, features words and music by Leslie Bricusse & Anthony Newley and was adapted for the stage by Leslie Bricusse & Timothy A. McDonald, and is based on the book- Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl.
The stage musical will be performed by two separate casts comprised of students from CAA: Jazmin Kamali, Michael Kincheloe, Elliot Lipman, Jack Margarelli, Tea Murphy, Pablo Pichardo, Lydia Reiss, Robert Ukransky, Billie Wynn, Toby Wynn and Catherine Yegorov will be featured in all performances. The casts duringWeek 1 (January 25, 26 and 27) will also include Kala Berman-Peters, Winnie Ryan, Kalie Strutin, Savannah Leroy, Lily Santangelo, Michael Becker, Renee Crowe, Yrianny Cruz, Natasha Finkelstein, Caroline Grossman and Remi Kauderer.During Week 2, Tali Natter, Chloe Hechter and Violet Vale, will replace Misses. Berman-Peters, Ryan and Strutin.
