Defined as a short play anthology, How To Save a World? weaves together five random encounters between strangers whose contact with one another expands their humanity in order to find something new. A young dreamer moves a cynical old homeless man into offering her his spare change to get to a dance competition on time. The same dreamer elicits understanding from a rigid cab driver towards his eight year old daughter. A female bank robber whose motive for stealing is to save the world from its evils threatens to kill an innocent man and then runs into a janitor whose philosophy for simple human kindness jars her into realizing her delusions. Two minority actors compete about the stereotyping each must endure while waiting to audition for a notoriously racist film director. Through irony, humor and compassion each chance meeting becomes an opportunity for personal catharsis.

Yael Grinberg (Playwright) is an international actress and writer who's worked in theater and film in Israel and the U.S. She co-starred in the pilot Dreams for Israeli television. A former student of the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, she played the lead in the play Betty's Summer Vacation and is the principal in the web series The Grey Matter. Her recent video for marriage equality received over 250,000 viewers on You-tube. How To Save A World? is her first play.

John Gabriele (Director) is best known for his technical work in film for lighting and camera. Some his credits include Blue Valentine, The Messenger, She's The One, Halloween 5, Forgiveness, My Suicidal Sweetheart, A Song Still Inside, Keane and The Networker (currently in post production).
