On the heels of a sold-out run of THE TENNESSEE PROJECT that thrilled audiences of the Tank this past spring, the SlapDab Theatre Company presents an evening of one-acts. LAUNDRY & BOURBON and LONE STAR - A NIGHT OF JAMES MCCLURE is an adult comedy and is not appropriate for children.

Set on the front porch of Roy and Elizabeth's home in Maynard, Texas, on a hot summer afternoon in 1972, LAUNDRY & BOURBON centers on the discontent and very funny gossip of three small-town wives whose marriages have turned out to be less than they hoped for.

LONE STAR tells the story of one Saturday night in the Summer of '72 a pair of Texas "good ole boys" carouse in the cluttered back yard of a small Texas bar. Roy has just returned from Vietnam, drinking Lone Star beer and? regaling his kid brother Ray, who cherishes three things above all: his country, his hot young wife, and his 1959 pink Thunderbird. As the evening wears on, the underpinnings of Roy's world begin to collapse.

The night will feature live performances by NYC indie favorite, Michael Hunter Band with special guest Ian Hunt. It will run tonight, August 8 - Sunday, August 11 at 7:00 p.m at The Tank. Tickets cost $15 online at thetanknyc.org and at the door.
