Kick off your summer every Monday evening, from June 18th through August 13th from 6:00 - 8:00pm, with our weekly summer play reading series celebrating works by new and established women playwrights. Hosted by the Shakespeare's Sister Company, these readings will commence in Lower East Side sultry venue, the DL, located at 95 Delancey Street (at Ludlow) in the 2nd floor Casino.

On June 18th, Shakespeare's Sister features true stories about British (the language). We will be reading English playwright, Beth Wright's "Vanessa and Virginia" based off of the novel written by the lovely and The New York Times best selling author, Susan Sellers, of whom the SSC is a huge fan. Beth's play has premiered in Europe and we're excited to share the story of Virginia Woolf and her sister with American audiences. Finally, we'll end the evening sharing a few scenes from a play written by Shakespeare's Sister's, Kris Lundberg, about the love affair between famed artist, Dante Gabriel Rossetti and his muse and model, Elizabeth Siddal.

Actors, audience, writers—all are welcome to join in this literary pow-wow sharing great works. Free event with a one-drink minimum.

For more information, please contact Kris Lundberg at info@shakespearessister.org or go online at www.shakespearessister.org.
