Radial Theater Project presents 99 Layoffs, a new play by Seattle-based playwright Vincent Delaney. The world premiere of 99 Layoffs is a co-production with ACT Theatre's Central Heating Lab, presenTed August 2-25, 2012 in ACT's Eulalie Scanduzzi Performance Space (the "Lalie").

Commissioned and produced by Radial Theater Project, 99 Layoffs follows the misadventures of Orson and Louella, two wannabe artists and serial job seekers, as they navigate the wicked waters of our recession-battered labor market. We follow our protagonists on a winding journey through interviews, daily work, layoffs and other terminations. Along the way, we meet the steady stream of manic bosses, petulant customers and evil children who challenge their peace of mind and economic stability.

A dramatic comedy (or comedic drama) for two actors and multiple characters, 99 Layoffs brims with recognition of a restructured world where the best job, and the only job that's available, are pretty much the same job.

The production features accomplished local theater artists Aimée Bruneau as Louella and K. Brian Neel as Orson. David Gassner, Radial Theater Project's Producing Director, directs the production. The creative team includes Julia Evanovich, costume designer; Cole Hornaday, props designer; Dani Prados, lighting designer, Montana Tippett, set designer; and Robertson Witmer, sound designer.
