What is it to be WOMAN? Today, yesterday, or tomorrow? Heroines tells the story of three contemporary women, living through the questions and quandaries of womanhood. With a nod to female characters of antiquity, prepare to explore the complex psyche of a woman in this age.

A few months ago, four women from different parts of the world came together to explore and discuss what it was to be a female trapped in a world which misunderstands your potential. We each devised characters from woman of antiquity and began to embody them. The discussions ranged from vulgar comments or actions made towards us, to past loves, to ideas of what a healthy body looks like, to workplace power struggles, to dating app incidences, to what we were putting up with in relationships. We gathered all of this data as well as asked friends/colleagues to contribute input.

This experimental piece invites its audience into these experiences through mildly cruel theatre devices complete with music and rhythm to effectively place you into the actions you are witnessing play out around you. With a ban on chairs, and on traditional theatre tech, this show is all roots with raw energy and unconventional scenes to frame everyday moments in a new angle.

Come join us in our exploration into experimental theatre. I think you are going to like what you experience when we immerse you into our world.

We only have one rule : Stay inside the circle
