Fundamental Theater Project is delighted to present Alone With Friends, a newly commissioned, romantic-comedy in one act by Ben Holbrook. The play is presented as part of Holiday House NYC, an annual interior design showcase in aide of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and in collaboration with Ally Coulter Design.
In this hilarious holiday play, Tom confesses his love for Adam's sister, Matilda, much to his best friend's chagrin. Tom, however, finds that winning Matilda's love isn't as simple as he thought; taking an outrageous sporting bet that results in flurries of insults, hysterical fights, and spirited debates that almost ensure that the friends will never finish packing for their annual Christmas trip. Dedicated to focusing on the fundamental attributes of theater as a vehicle to create dialogues within the community, Fundamental Theater Project produce dynamic experiences in the performing arts that resonate with audiences across the globe, cultivating artistic collaborations and exploring diverse material, with an emphasis on both process and product. The collaboration between Fundamental Theater Project and Holiday House NYC provides opportunity to present intimate and engaging, site-specific theatrical experiences to a more expansive audience.
